retro rail fence quilt {a finish}

Busy few days painting this week out at my sister's house, but while we watched paint dry, I thought I'd take a few pics of my retro Rail Fence quilt. The spare room is next on the list for painting, but in the meantime it's the perfect location for a photo shoot of my finished quilt... check out the 1970's wallpaper!

Quilt Stats:
 I used Sujata's rail fence design from her Cultural Fusion Quilts book
Annette de Raat machine quilted it in an overall stippling pattern for me
and I finished it off using Amy Butler's Hammock Stripes for the binding

  2. Linda you quilt has that scrappy goodness, so delicious! I love the binding you chose. Pictures are incredibly warm. I bet it has everything to do with the wall paper and the cabin-cozy home! Gorgeous quilt, your friend did a great job quilting it too. This was a refreshing post to read! Thank you for sharing it.

    1. Thank you! Yes, my sister’s house was perfect for a few pics, wasn’t it? I realised it when we did the 1st day’s painting, so the next time I went prepared with my quilt & camera!
      It’s really interesting how different all these rail fence blocks look! There’s lots of variations popping up everywhere now! Linda
