I thought I would post the pictures of the cover quilt and few other versions of Rail Fence block. For the cover quilt I chose to experiment with different color combinations. As you can see there is no rhyme or reason for these colors to be together but are harmonious because of the value and contrast.
Quilt made by LeeAnn of Nifty Quilts. She used the same blocks and made the Hopscotch quilt. She also made the piano keys borders using the Rail Fence blocks.
When you look at close up of these blocks, you can see all the whimsical variations.

The possibilities are so much fun.. I always want to make another one and see what those slight curves work into a new quilt.
Have you tried making a quilt with these blocks yet? I know you wouldn't want to stop at just one!

I love it all...the whimsey, the color..the designs...I ordered the book today..had to get special sheets for my husband's hospital bed and only could get free shipping if I ordered your book...lol
