Audrey's Tipsy Geese

"Tipsy Geese" made by Audrey over at Quilty Folk. She says she is not a big fan of the process of making improv quilts. I love her folk art quilts. I do consider them improve as she does lot of applique. Visit her blog to see what she has to say about this process.

Chrisitne's Twins

I LOVE this quilt!

It's even better because there is another one! My friend Christne Kamon made two queen size quilts using Peppermint Pinwheels pattern from the book!

And the party does not end there.

How about these Geese?

Christine made these runners while she was running up and down form PA to Maryland during her move.

Geese Flying South!

I made an executive decision of sharing this photo even thought the beauty in the center is not made with free-form blocks. Those wonky geese next to straight line serves a purpose.. Don't you think? Not to mention the inspiration that quilt provides!

She is a creative soul, prolific quilter and my good friend. Too bad she doesn't blog. We sure are  missing out on a lot! Read more about this jewel in the center on my blog!

A wonderful welcome ….

Thank you Sujata for such a wonderful, warm welcome to your living room!

I am so excited to be taking part in your blog and looking forward to
this new journey.
As you know I am buying your book but I decided to also download the ebook version
and then I could get started!

I have gone with a Flying Geese setting using your Hourglass block and below I have
the beginnings on my design wall, nothing set in concrete yet but I
do love the Rings  and the shaded fabrics together - they will definitely stay

Sailing Through Suez
my instinct is to go with the geese
all pointing upwards rather than alternating directions as above and I have just pinned
pieces of folded Rings fabric on the wide strips to
get an idea of how they would look together, I'm happy!

This is a very basic and brief first post as I am off back to my design wall to play some more and then
more sewing. Hoping I can have this together next week.
Looking forward to "meeting" everyone else at Cultural Fusion Quilts!
